The University Forest Administration and Management Fund is divided in three administrative units. The Central Administration, based in Thessaloniki, and the two University Forests (Pertouli and Taxiarchis).

The Central Administration manages and organizes the two University Forests. In addition, it ensures that all decisions of the governing bodies (Board of Directors, General Assembly of the School of Forestry, Rector’s Council, and Ministries) are transferred to the University Forest Administrations for implementation.

Central Administration is responsible  for the work of administrative issues, financial management and supervision of the two forests. A total of six permanent employees serve, in respective positions:

  1. Director
  2. Secretariat of the Board of Directors
  3. Financial Management (two employees)
  4. Protocol
  5. Forester, coordinator between the administration and the University Forests

A total of seven (7) employees are serving at the Pertouli Forest Office for the administration, financial management and protection of the forest, in these respective positions:

  1. Forester, Head of Forest
  2. Secretariat
  3. Financial Management
  4. Forestry operations, and forest facility constructions
  5. Forest Protection, Facility Guarding and Nursery Management

In addition to the administrative staff, a number of more than twenty-five (25) loggers, members of the local Forest Cooperatives are working in logging operations.

A total of six (6) employees are serving at the Taxiarchis Forest Office for the administration, financial management and protection of the forest, in these respective positions:

  1. Forester, Head of Forest
  2. Secretariat
  3. Financial Management
  4. Forestry operations, and forest facility constructions
  5. Forest Protection, Facility Guarding and Nursery Management

In addition to the administrative staff, a number of more than twenty (20) loggers, members of the local Forest Cooperatives are working in logging operations.
